A general rule for determining size is to know your hat size, this can be done by measuring the circumference of your head (run the tape around the forehead area)

Hat Size:
54/55cm = Small = size 4
56/57cm = Medium = size 3
58/59cm = Large = size 2
60/61cm = XL = size 1
